I am hoping this is working. I had to take the image and colour correct it. I am uncertain what I am doing really and hope I haven't fubared my Photoshop as a result. I have a very dark gamma setting on my monitor and for some reason it was saving darker than it was in Photoshop. Irritating as that means my colours are not true and this was a dark image to begin with. I pray I fixed it.
Anyway...
This is based on something in my seekerverse RPG. Don't ask about it, it's closed, but from time to time it gives me an art bunny.
Starscream carefully brushed the ash and dirt off the long dead wing and shook his head exhaled. Still after aeons the smoke rose from the smouldering ruins and the heaps of dead Seekers, small fires burned and the air was thick with a pungent odour of burned circuits, melted metal, ash, soot and gunpowder.
"How can the fires still burn?" he asked the wing.
"It burns in you," said a whisper near his audio.
"That was a rhetorical...w-who are you? Where are you?"
"I am here, we...are here, everywhere, we are all around you," the voice said as a startling cool breeze brushed his wing. Starscream shuddered violently.
"What do you want?"
"Peace. You did this to us," the wind said. "You, destroyed us and for why? Your own ego."
"No, it can't be...it was long ago," he responded softly, "I had to make an example out of you, otherwise the other villages would have done the same, I had to maintain order..I had no choice."
"You had to? Or you chose to? It was a choice, Starscream. Your choice...a poor choice...you alone are to blame. You killed us, we would like some...how can we say...restitution."
"Go, away!" Starscream cried out. He sat bolt upright and realised he was dreaming, it was a dream, Just a dream. He exhaled in relief and was about to climb off his recharge platform.
"We will, but only when you pay..." came the voice once more.
Starscream, leader of the Decepticons, king of Seekers has been haunted by a memory of a small industrial village he ordered destroyed because he had a personal disagreement with the village leader. This was about 5 or 6 million years in the past when Starscream was Megatron's "faithful" lacky. Starscream and an extermination squadron arrived and massacred everyone in the village. Young, old, femcons and regular Decepticons, mostly Seekers and now, for some reason it's causing him to feel rather guilty and remorseful.
This is done in Photoshop, slag that program or my monitor or whatever caused me about 3 – 4 hours of frustrations trying to figure out colour settings.
The ruins in the background is from Starlingrad, Russia, I think. It's been modified but had the feel of a destroyed industrial area. The pencils and colours are my work.

I personally like the "in village" version in your scraps better, as the fires look more vivid there. But then, that may just be my monitor settings, plus it's your pic, so it's for you to decide which version you prefer.
This version certainly brings the notion of "ash and ruins" across perfectly; and the story snippet that goes with it makes it all the more poignant.
It conveys a powerful message about the price of war, something you don't see that often in TF fan art.
The colouring is very well done; I admire your skill.
