Maverrick - 1990 2006

I drew this years ago. Was a simple sketch of my mother's elderly kitty. She died about 4 years back, but I forget the exact date. my mother does miss her very much.

Her name Was Maverick. She came to us as a stray, and moved in. She was an excellent mouser and enjoyed laying in the lush garden my parents had.

Interestingly enough she seemed to be street smart. We often saw her pause and look both ways before crossing the road. ALso we nearly lost her when she was spooked by a snow mobile and was trapped in a wood pile for three days. We searched and did not find her. Eventually we got a feeling we needed to look in the pile and unloaded it. She was severely dehydrated but with excellent vet care she recovered fast.

I miss Mavy. But I was also... rather allergic to her
